LOS ANGELES -- The Eight, a "darkly funny adult comedy" by Jeff Goode, is the Christmas show at the Met Theatre's Great Scott Cabaret. The run, which begins Dec. 2, continues through Dec. 18.
In Goode's play, Santa Claus has been brought up on charges of sexual harassment. There are allegations of unsavory acts with reindeer and elves. The Eight are witnesses prepared to testify for or against Santa. Each has a different take on events. The big issue is whether Santa is an icon of goodness or a self-indulgent pervert.
John James Hickey directs the Met Theatre production. The cast includes Andrew Nelson Bernard, Jordan Mott, Peter Paige, Rebecca Patterson, Joe Reynolds, Rochelle Robinson, Clarinda Ross and Marc St. Pierre. The set is by Desma Murphy.
The Met Theatre is located at 1089 N. Oxford Ave., Hollywood. For tickets and information call (323) 957-1152 or visit website www.theMETtheatrer.com
