Kelly announced Nov. 19 that he's had an offer to bring "Trapped in the Closet," a cycle of songs each accompanied by a music video and described as a "hip hopera," to Broadway.

"To transform it into a Broadway version, that's what I'm working on," said Kelly at the Sunshine Theater, where he unveiled the latest chapters in "Trapped in the Closet," which will debut on the IFC channel Nov. 23. He also added that he might appear in some performances.

Written and produced by Kelly, "Trapped in a Closet" tells the story of a one-night stand that sets off a chain of events, revealing a web of lies, sex and deceit. At the Nov. 19 event, he said that he has more chapters in the studio that are waiting to be released.

Kelly's hit songs include "Bump n' Grind," "Your Body's Callin'," "Gotham City," "Ignition (Remix)," "If I Could Turn Back the Hands of Time," "The World's Greatest" and "I'm a Flirt," among others.
