Only two days after its Rome opening, Apr. 21, the Italian production of Grease, which was originally scheduled to run until May 30 at the capital's Teatro Sistina, had to announce its first extension. The show is now booking to June 14 and is sold-out until May 30. Grossing over 2 billion lire (1,1 million US dollars) in advance sales, the Rome production of Grease stars Lorella Cuccarini (Sandy), Giampiero Ingrassia (Danny), Michele Carfora (Kenickie), Renata Fusco (Rizzo), Mal (Teen Angel), and Marco Predolin (Vince Fontaine).
The musical is directed by Saverio Marconi and features scenery by Aldo De Lorenzo, costumes by Zaira De Vincentiis and choreography by Franco Miseria.
