The rent at The Actors' Playhouse on Seventh Avenue is too high for operator Peter Breger, he told the paper. He said the rent at the 170-seat Off-Broadway theatre has doubled in the last six years, and he can no longer make a go of it. The owner of the property is Duell Management, which, Breger suggested, is not planning to continue the space for live performance.
