Classic Arts News H_lne Grimaud Disc Debuts on Billboard Chart Pianist H_lne Grimaud's latest solo CD, a collection of Chopin and Rachmaninoff, debuted on the Billboard classical chart this week at number 11.
The recording includes both composers' Second Sonatas, as well as Chopin's Berceuse In D-flat major and Barcarolle in F-sharp major.

The 5 Browns' self-titled debut album remained at number one for the fifth straight week. Yo-Yo Ma's CD of Ennio Morricone film music moved back to number two after dropping down one spot last week.

Albums enjoying increased sales includes pianist Yundi Li's Chopin: Scherzi, Impromptus and soprano Anna Netrebko's Sempre Libera, which reappeared at numbers eight and 13 respectively after dropping off the chart last week. Violist Andr_ Rieu's Tuscany jumped from number six to number three.

On the classical crossover chart, Josh Groban's Closer maintained its hold on the number-one spot. Ronan Tynan's Ronan moved up to number two in its second week on the chart, displacing Andrea Bocelli's Andrea. Violinist Lucia Micarelli's Music From A Farther Room debuted on the chart at number eight, more than seven months after its release.
