News Hair Tour to Launch at Kennedy Center; Tour Dates Revealed The national tour of the Tony Award-winning revival of Hair will launch in Washington, DC, this October at the Kennedy Center Opera House.

The full itinerary for the 20-city tour was announced May 12. Prior to the Oct. 25 launch in DC, Hair will tech at the Shubert Theatre in New Haven, CT, Oct. 21-24.

The tour will reunite Tony Award-nominated director Diane Paulus and members of the original Broadway creative team including Tony-nominated choreographer Karole Armitage, set designer Scott Pask, costume designer Michael McDonald, lighting designer Kevin Adams and sound designer Acme Sound Partners.

Casting will be announced shortly.

Orlando, FL (June 21-26, 2011, at the Bob Carr PAC) The revival of Hair began life in 2007 as a special 40th anniversary concert staging at the Delacorte Theater. In 2008 the Public mounted Hair as part of Shakespeare in the Park, where the run was extended three times. The production transferred to Broadway's Al Hirschfeld Theatre March 31, 2009, where it currently plays. The London production opened April 14 at the Gielgud Theatre.
