The Main Subscription season, which features six productions, will kick off in September 2019 at the Mirvish with the Tony-winning The Band's Visit, followed by the Toronto premiere of Piaf/Dietrich. Gordon Greenberg will direct the latter at the CAA Theatre (September-December 2019), starring Mamma Mia! Tony nominee Louise Pitre as Edith Piaf and Jayne Lewis as Marlene Dietrich.

The Canadian premiere of the Tony-winning revival of Jerry Herman's Hello, Dolly! will be seen March-April 2020 at the Princess of Wales Theatre. Two other Canadian premieres are also on the schedule: Conor McPherson's Girl From the North Country, featuring the songs of Bob Dylan (September-November 2019 at the Princess of Wales Theatre), and Stephen Flaherty, Lynn Ahrens, and Terrence McNally’s Anastasia, based on the animated film of the same name (December 2019-January 2020 at the Mirvish). The former was initially slated for Mirvish's current season, but was ultimately replaced with the Canadian premiere of Sting's The Last Ship.

The Off-Mirvish Season features three shows: Us/Them, Carly Wijs’ new work about the 2004 deadly Beslan school siege that was acclaimed at the Edinburgh Fringe and the National Theatre of Great Britain; Room, a new stage adaptation by Emma Donoghue of her best-selling novel and Oscar-winning film; and the Toronto premiere of Indecent, Paula Vogel’s award-winning play about the Broadway debut of Sholem Ash's controversial drama God of Vengeance.
