News HeartSong Katrina Benefit to Feature Akers, Barrett, Callaway, Kuhn, McArdle and More Over three-dozen Broadway and cabaret stars will take part in HeartSong: The Concert for New Orleans, a benefit concert for the victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Presented by Cabaret and Concert Artists International, the one-night-only event will be held Oct. 16 at New York’s Symphony Space. Those scheduled to perform at the 7 PM show include Karen Akers, Brent Barrett, Bryan Batt, Judy Blazer, Charles Busch, Ann Hampton Callaway, Liz Callaway, Jim Caruso, Rick Crom, Boyd Gaines, Rita Gardner, Julie Gold, Kitty Carlisle Hart, Steve Hayes, Christopher Jackson, Rick Jensen, Judy Kaye, Judy Kuhn, Lina Koutrakos, Steven Lutvak, Heather MacRae, Andrea Marcovicci, Karen Mason, Laurel Massé, Sally Mayes, Andrea McArdle, Sharon McNight, Donna Murphy, Mark Nadler, Marni Nixon, Joyce Randolph, Lee Roy Reams, Steve Ross, Janis Siegel, Marilyn Sokol, Brett Somers, KT Sullivan and Julie Wilson. Alex Rybeck will be the evening’s music coordinator. The concert will benefit three organizations: the Contemporary Art Center in New Orleans, HeartSong Performing Artists Fund, and The Andy Kruzich/HeartSong Animal Welfare Fund of The Greater New Orleans Foundation.

Symphony Space is located in Manhattan at Broadway and 95th Street. Tickets, priced $50, $100 and $200, are available by calling (212) 864-5400.
