News Hello, Andrea! Tony-Winner Andrea Martin To Play The Matchmaker at Ford's Theatre in Fall Tony Award-winner Andrea Martin will play Thornton Wilder's meddling, irrepressible Dolly Gallagher Levi in The Matchmaker at Ford's Theatre in Washington, DC, Sept. 24-Oct. 24.

Martin (who won her Tony for Best Featured Actress in a Musical for My Favorite Year) is currently starring in Tennessee Williams' The Rose Tattoo at the Huntington Theatre in Boston.

Martin is known for the film "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" and for playing a raft of roles on the TV comedy series, "SCTV." On Broadway, she played the no-nonsense Aunt Eller in the most recent revival of Oklahoma!

Mark Lamos will direct The Matchmaker, the beloved play about embracing life. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the play that would become the basis for the musical, Hello, Dolly!

The Ford's staging's creative team includes set designer Michael H.Yergan; costumes by Wade Laboissonniere, and lighting by Rui Rita
