Classic Arts News Henning R‹bsam Named Resident Choreographer at Hartford City Ballet The year-old Hartford City Ballet has named Henning R‹bsam, the artistic director of the New York modern dance group Sensedance, as its resident choreographer, the Connecticut company announced.
"Henning R‹bsam has an innate musicality combined with a sense of humor," Hartford City Ballet artistic director Dartanion Reed said. "He knows what he wants and brings out each performer's individual quality. Hartford City Ballet dancers will grow artistically through his involvement."

R‹bsam trained at the Hamburg Opera Ballet School and the Juilliard School. He performed with the Lim‹n and Nikolais/Louis companies and has led Sensedance since 1992.
