Duncan James, recently seen as Ryan in the soap opera Hollyoaks, will join the West End cast of Chicago at the Phoenix Theatre beginning September 10.
James, who rose to fame in the band Blue and was also seen in the West End company of Legally Blonde, will step into the role of Billy Flynn—a part he originally played in 2008. He will join Alexandra Burke as Roxie Hart, Josefina Gabrielle as Velma Kelly, Mazz Murray as Matron “Mama” Morton, and Paul Rider as Amos Hart.

Chicago, which is based on the play by Maurine Dallas Watkins, has a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander, and lyrics by Fred Ebb.
The London revival of Chicago is currently booking through January 5, 2019.
