News Horizon Theatre Nabs Ruined, Avenue Q and Superior Donuts for 2011 Season Atlanta's Horizon Theatre will stage Tracy Letts' Superior Donuts and Lynn Nottage's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Ruined during the 2011 season.

Superior Donuts, which played a brief Broadway run in 2009, centers on the relationship between the proprietor of a donut shop and the young man he newly hires. Jeff Adler will helm the production that will run Feb. 25-March 27.

Karen Zacarias' Legacy of Light, a time-traveling comedy about Emilie du Chatalet (lover to famous novelist Voltaire) and a present-day scientist whose worlds collide when motherhood dawns, will run April 8-May 8.

The Tony Award-winning musical Avenue Q, with a score by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx and a book by Jeff Whitty, will run May 20-July 3. Heidi Cline will direct the puppet musical about getting out of college and finding your way in the world.

Horizon will revive the musical Three Sistahs, which centers on three unique women who return home for the third year in a row for a family funeral. Thomas W. Jones II, who authored the book and lyrics, will stage the production that has music by William Hubbard. Performances will run July 15-Aug. 28.

Closing the season will be Nottage's Congolese-set drama Ruined, running Sept 16-Oct. 16. Lisa Adler will stage the play about brothel workers in a war-torn land. For tickets, visit HorizonTheatre. The Horizon Theatre Company is located at Euclid & Austin Avenues in Little Five Points.
