Israel Horovitz's 3 Weeks After Paradise, a one-man play about the tragic events of September 11, will be performed in Los Angeles and New York City next month.

Directed by Jill André and starring Mel England, 3 Weeks After Paradise will receive its Los Angeles premiere Sept. 10 at 7:30 PM at the Secret Rose Theatre. It will then play its second annual New York City performance Sept. 11 at the Cherry Lane Theatre at 3 PM. A personal account of the thoughts, feelings and emotions about the horrific day in American history, 3 Weeks After Paradise, says playwright Horovitz, "was written from the heart and mind of a father worried about his children and the world they will inherit." All proceeds from the play benefit the 3 Weeks After Paradise Fund, a scholarship fund for Children of the WTC victims.

The Secret Rose Theatre is located in North Hollywood, CA, at 11246 Magnolia Boulevard; call (818) 623-4291 for tickets. The Cherry Lane Theatre is located in Manhattan at 38 Commerce Street; call (212) 989 2020. Tickets are priced at $25.
