NY's Sightline Stage Co. has announced casting for the New York premiere of Canadian playwright George F. Walker's The End of Civilization, Jan. 22 - Feb. 14, 1999 at Raw Space (529 West 42nd Street).

The cast for the Sightline production includes Sarah Brockus, Jamie Heinlein, Bryan Johnson, and Mick Weber. The sets will be designed by Lauren Halpern, costumes by Beth Lasley, lighting by Tyler Micoleau and sound by Susan Williams. Directing Civilization will be Canadian Randy White.

Sightline Stage Company, formerly known as Theatre Outrageous, changed its name at a benefit in October, after the company decided the old name didn't really reflect the direction it wanted to go in. Last season, the company (as Outrageous) produced the New York premiere of Gip Hoppe's Savior of the Universe to mixed-to-good reviews. It ran at the same time Hoppe's Jackie was playing on Broadway.

Walker is one of the more widely produced Canadian playwrights on American soil. Other plays by Walker include: Featuring Loretta, Problem Child, and Tough.

Sightline Stage Co.'s production of George F. Walker's The End of Civilization plays at NY's Raw Space, Jan. 22- Feb. 14, 1999. For tickets or more information, call (212) 726-3588. -- By Sean McGrath
