Nominated for a Governor General's Award for Drama, the Canadian play Footprints On The Moon finished its American premiere at NYC's Theatre 22, Dec. 13, 1997. But Maureen Hunter's drama reopens at the same venue Jan. 8 for an additional three week run. Footprints On The Moon tells of a woman in rural Canada eagerly awaiting her 16-year-old daughter's return from Toronto. When the young woman arrives, however, she comes with disturbing news.
Produced by the White Buffalo Theatre Company, Footprints stars Tiffany Cothran, Katherine Falcone, Charles Krueger, Joanna McEvoy and David Volin. The latter, who serves as artistic director of White Buffalo, directs.
Other plays by Hunter include Atlantis (1996), Transit Of Venus and Beautiful Lake Winnipeg.
