Sean Arbuckle, late of the cast of the national tour of Copenhagen and an original company member of the premiere of The Spitfire Grill at the George Street Playhouse, joins the cast of the long-running Off-Broadway musical hit, I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, Aug. 16.
Following the close of The Fantasticks, the 7-year-old revue about love, sex, dating and marriage is now Off Broadway's longest-running musical still playing.
The company at the Westside Theatre, 407 W. 43rd Street, includes Marissa Burgoyne (a vet of the Boston staging), Jordan Leeds (an original New York company member of the show) and Janet Metz (Marie Christine, Falsettoland), playing over 50 roles in a collection of scenes and songs scaling the spectrum of male-female relationships. Mat Eisenstein is musical director-pianist, with Patti Ditzel on violin.
Writer-lyricist Joe DiPietro and composer Jimmy Roberts penned the musical, which has now played more than 150 cities around the world. Joel Bishoff directs.
