News Industry Reading of New Play Rest, In Pieces Will Feature Lainie Kazan Lainie Kazan, Lenny Wolpe and Adam Heller will take part in a by-invitation-only reading of a new play by Steve Bluestein, entitled Rest, In Pieces.

Press notes for the new work state, "Laugh at how death – and life – affect three family members when one is gone." Kazan made her Broadway debut in The Happiest Girl in the World in 1961, followed by Bravo Giovanni. She served as understudy to Barbra Streisand in the hit musical Funny Girl. After a highly successful career in film and television, Kazan returned to Broadway to re-create her film role for the musical adaptation of My Favorite Year, earning a Tony Award nomination for her performance. More recently she completed a stint in The Vagina Monologues. Lenny Wolpe, most recently on Broadway in The Drowsy Chaperone, was also seen in the 1998 revival of The Sound of Music, Into the Light, Mayor, Copperfield and Onward Victoria.

Adam Heller's Broadway credits include Caroline or Change, A Class Act, Victor/Victoria and Les Miserables.

The industry reading will be directed by John Bowab and will take place June 25 at 7 PM.
