"Creating the Magic" will be held at 10:45 AM and 1:15 PM at Broadway's Palace Theatre, where students will be offered a behind-the-scenes look at Broadway and learn about all the career opportunities in the theatre.
According to press notes, "Attendees will get a special behind-the-scenes look at the world of Broadway with members of the Annie cast and crew (lighting, sound, stage management and orchestra) all taking part. From exciting set, lighting and sound demonstrations to musical performances from the cast and a Q&A session, it is sure to provide an unforgettable experience."
"We are so very excited to kick off 2013 with one of our most cherished events for New York City students," said Inside Broadway executive director Michael Presser in a statement. "And we couldn't be happier to be partnering with the new revival of Annie which is a perfect fit for these incredible programs as we reach a new generation of theatregoers."
Inside Broadway, established in 1982 by Presser, reaches over 30,000 New York City students each year, and develops and produces touring equity musical productions as well as a range of educational programs that allow participants to interact with professionals in the field and experience theatre hands-on in the classroom.
