News "It Sucks to Be Moi": Avenue Q Arrives in Paris Feb. 7 The City of Lights welcomes the humans and puppets of Avenue Q, the Tony-winning musical by Jeff Whitty, Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, beginning Feb. 7 at the Bobino in Paris.

The production features direction by Dominique Guillo with musical direction by Raphael Sanchez.

Kate Monster/Lucy the Slut is played by Shirel or Prisca Demarez (depending on performances), Princeton/Rod by Gaétan Borg or Emmanuel Suarez, Trekkie Monster by David Alexis, Brian by Emmanuel Quatra, Gary Coleman (renamed Willy in the French production) by Philippe Aglaé or Jean-Michel Vaubien (two male actors), Christmas Eve (renamed Tatami) by Alice Lyn and Bear/Mrs T. by Virginie Ramis. Cerise Calixte (ensemble) and David Ban (Trekkie Monster/Brian) complete the cast.

This production marks the French-language premiere of the Tony Award-winning musical with an adaptation provided by Bruno Gaccio.

The Tony Award-winning Best Musical Avenue Q  continues in New York, where it plays Off-Broadway's New World Stages; it began previews there Oct. 9, 2009, and opened Oct. 21, having concluded its six-year run on Broadway on Sept. 13.
