New York University's Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimó will host Lei dunque capirà, the New York premiere of a monologue by writer and Nobel Prize for Literature nominee Claudio Magris, Nov. 11 at 6 PM.

In the play, Magris reinvents the ancient myth of Orfeo and Euridice in a contemporary way. The story involves Euridice being admitted to a nursing home and ruled by an invisible president. As the story unfolds, Orfeo gains permission to take her away with him, provided he does not turn around to look at her before they come out in the open air.

The title means "So you will understand."

Starring is Italian actress Daniela Giovanetti.

The show will take place at Casa Italiana Zerilli Marimò, 24 West 12th Street in Manhattan. Seating is first come, first served.
