News J. Tomilson Hill Named Chairman of Lincoln Center Theater Blackstone Alternative Asset Management president and CEO J. Tomilson Hill succeeded John Beinecke as the chairman of Lincoln Center Theater.

LCT's board of directors elected Hill, who also serves on the investment committee of the Smithsonian Institution and is chairman of the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden in Washington, D.C. Hill began his role as chairman July 1. He has served on the board of LCT for 13 years. Beinecke served as LCT chairman July 1, 2002, through June 30, 2010.

The Lincoln Center Theater production of South Pacific is slated to conclude its Broadway run Aug. 22. The Tony-winning revival will be broadcast via PBS' "Live from Lincoln Center" series Aug. 18.

Upcoming LCT projects also include Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown on Broadway at the Belasco Theatre this fall, as well as John Guare's epic play A Free Man of Color, which will play the Vivian Beaumont Theater beginning Oct. 21.
