News Jacobean Season at London's Gielgud Extends Into March The season of Jacobean plays — Eastward Ho!, Edward III, The Roman Actor, The Island Princess and The Malcontent — has extended its run at the Gielgud Theatre until March 22.

This extension comes despite recent press speculation (the front page of The Guardian) about the season's financial viability, and suggests that the shows are doing rather better than reported. The season certainly has been a critical success, with Eastward Ho! being particularly well-reviewed, and this extension will give many more people the chance to catch up with a group of plays that wowed audiences and critics alike in its summer at Stratford on Avon.
