The play, which takes a comic look at gay love on the internet via a lonely college professor who logs onto a gay chat room, originally opened in L.A. April 1, 1996. It was so popular in L.A. that it is currently playing a return engagment there through Mar. 28. It has also played in Chicago.

The NY cast includes Vince Gatton (who played the role of Andy in the NY, L.A. and Chicago casts of the hit gay comedy Party), Wells Dixon (best known as a cover model for several Harlequin novel covers), Socrates Diamant, Corey Feinsilver, Brian McManamon, Anthony Matteo, Stephen Wayne Miller and Brian Robinson.

The production is directed by Mark Cannistraro.

SourceWorks Productions scored a hit last season with Fairy Tales, the Eric Lane Barnes musical revue about gay life -- which transferred from the Duplex to the WPA Theatre and was the recipient of three Backstage Bistro Awards. Cyberqueer is being performed every Sat. at 8 PM through April 11. There is a $15 cover charge and a 2-drink minimum. For reservations, call (212) 592-3167.
