Piro Donovan (Miss Saigon, Les Misérables) succeeds Christiane Noll, who played her final performance Aug. 2. As previously reported, Drama Desk nominee Julia Murney (Wicked, Wild Party) will begin performances Aug. 6, taking over for Jenn Colella; both Noll and Colella are departing to join the company of the new Broadway musical Chaplin.

With direction by Maltby, associate direction and choreography by Kurt Stamm and music direction by Andrew Gerle, Closer Than Ever also features George Dvorsky and Sal Viviano.

The production, now in performance through Aug. 25 at The York Theatre at Saint Peter's, is described as an "intimate musical about love, friendship, security, happiness – and holding onto those essentials in a world that pulls us in a hundred directions at once."

The creative team includes Kurt Stamm (choreography), James Morgan (sets), Nicole Wee (costumes), Kirk Bookman (lights) and Stephanie Wagner (props). The production stage manager is Bernita Robinson.

Show times are Monday and Tuesday at 7 PM, Wednesday-Friday 8 PM and Saturday at 2:30 PM and 8 PM. As previously reported, a cast recording will be released by Jay Records on a date to be announced. The original Off-Broadway cast recording is available from RCA Victor.
