Jake Gyllenhaal, who was critically acclaimed for his performance in the recent New York City Center concert staging of the musical Little Shop of Horrors — opposite original stage and screen Audrey, Ellen Greene — is hoping to sing on Broadway.

Gyllenhaal, whose new film "Demolition" recently premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, told E! Online, "I don't know about [Little Shop] in particular...but I definitely would love to be doing a musical on Broadway in the near future."

Gyllenhaal, who made his Broadway debut last season in the two-hander Constellations, added, "I would love that. It would be a huge honor. There are a lot of really good people who do it really well so you gotta know you can do it well if you're going to do it."
