Tony winner John Rando stages the classic comedy, which officially opens Feb. 25 and runs through March 22 on the Alley's Hubbard Stage.

Two-time Tony nominee de Guzman (Guys and Dolls) is cast as Maggie Cutler in a company that also features Black (Broadway's Not About Nightingales) as Sheridan Whiteside and Elizabeth Heflin as Lorraine Sheldon.

Completing the cast are Alley Theatre resident company actors Jeffrey Bean, James Belcher, Bettye Fitzpatrick, Paul Hope, Chris Hutchison, Charles Krohn, Emily Neves, John Tyson and Todd Waite.

According to the Alley, The Man Who Came to Dinner centers on Sheridan Whiteside, "theatre critic, lecturer, and radio personality, who, arriving to dine at the home of the prominent Stanley family in a small Midwestern town, slips on their doorstep and injures his hip. A tumultuous six weeks of confinement follow, during which Whiteside monopolizes the living room and takes over the Stanley household. Before it's over, the outrageous has become commonplace."

Designing The Man Who Came to Dinner are Alexander Dodge (scenic design), Gregory Gale (costume design) and Pat Collins (lighting design).

Tickets are available by visiting AlleyTheatre.org or by phoning (713) 220-5700.

The Alley Theatre is located at 615 Texas Avenue in Houston, TX.
