News James Van Der Beek and Patton Oswalt Set for "Breakfast Club" Live Reading in L.A. John Hughes' iconic film "The Breakfast Club" will get a starry live reading Oct. 20 at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, featuring Mindy Kaling, James Van Der Beek and Patton Oswalt, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Jason Reitman, who created the "Live Read" series, will direct the sold-out 7:30 PM presentation of the 1985 classic about a mismatched group of high school kids sharing a Saturday detention.

The cast includes Van Der Beek in the role of Andy (played on screen by Emilio Estevez), Kaling as Allison (played by Ally Sheedy), Oswalt as Brian (played by Anthony Michael Hall), as well as J.K. Simmons as Carl (played by John Kapelos) and Aaron Paul as Bender (played by Judd Nelson).
