De Waal moved to New York in September after having completed a year in the West End production of We Will Rock You.

"Heather," who stays suburb-bound with her young boyfriend while his buddies venture to more exotic places, sings "Dearly Beloved" and "Rock and Roll Girlfiend" in the musical based on the Green Day rock album "American Idiot."

Director Michael Mayer co-wrote the script with Green Day frontman and lyricist Billie Joe Armstrong. The music is by Green Day.

Faber will soon to appear as Smitty in the new Broadway revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
