The League of American Theaters and Producers president, Jed Bernstein, and Playbill On-Line editor David Lefkowitz will appear on the May 7 episode of "Theatre Talk," as part of the Channel 13 theater talk show's coverage of the Tony Awards.
Bernstein will discuss plans for the June 6 Tony telecast, touching on topics such as this year's ceremony's multiple hosts and how the lack of new musicals may affect the ratings of the program. The League co- produces the Tony Awards with the American Theatre Wing.
Later in the program, hosts Michael Reidel and Susan Haskins will talk about the Tony nominations with Playbill On-Line editor David Lefkowitz. The trio will look at, among other matters, the noms' impact -- if any -- on various Broadway shows.
This episode of "Theater Talk" airs Friday May 7 on Thirteen/WNET at midnight.
