Barzee, whose Broadway credits include Urinetown, Jekyll & Hyde, Miss Saigon and Henry IV as well as the world premiere of the stage version of Irving Berlin's White Christmas, will play the lead role of Kit Cassini.

The cast for the June 21 reading will also feature the previously announced Laura Lee Anderson, Kevin Duda, John Hickok, Sarah Hyland, Jerry Lanning, Erin Markey, James Moye, Audrie Neenan, Jennifer Prescott, Julian Rad, Blair Ross and Peter Van Wagner. Show time is 7:30 PM.

The creative team for LIVE! NUDE! GIRL! comprises Wayne Barker (music) and Donna Kaz (book and lyrics). Barker previously worked with Dame Edna Everage as her on-stage pianist and also co-wrote songs with Barry Humphries for Back With a Vengeance! Kaz, whose works have been produced in the U.S. and U.K., is an alumnus of the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop.

The musical, according to press notes, asks: "What if a 1950's Midwestern housewife got so sick of making meatloaf every Tuesday night that she snapped -- and ran away to Las Vegas? What if her mother could drink like Dean and her daughter entertain like Sammy? And what if this housewife went from the silent and submissive bottom to the tough, impulsive and calculated top of the heap? LIVE! NUDE GIRL! is an original musical that tells the story of a once in a lifetime chance for one woman to break out of her rut into something original and cool."

The York Theatre Company is located at The Theatre at Saint Peter's Church at 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue in New York, NY. For reservations call (212) 935-5824, ext. 2
