Bromance in Concert also features Adam Chanler-Berat (Peter and The Starcatcher, Next to Normal), Andrew Kober (Hair) and Guy Olivieri ("Gossip Girl," Rent national tour).
Matt Cowart directs the evening with musical direction by Benjamin M. Rauhala.
The new musical features music by Ewalt and lyrics by Walker and Ewalt.
"Like an awesome buddy movie come to life," Bromance: The Dude-sical, press notes state, "reveals a world of Beer, Brotherhood, and Brocabulary." This concert version of the show will feature the YouTube hit "The Phone Call" as well as "Sports Center," "Chili Cheese Fries" and "Wingman."
Ewalt and Walker are currently at work on two commissions — one from Broadway Across America and Pumped, described as "a fashionable new musical." Their other works include Separate: Battle Songs of Youth, selected by Ars Nova for ANTFEST 2010, and The Making of Madeline Moore (The Merc NYC 2009).
