The evening, which begins at 7 PM, celebrates the work of composer Paul Fujimoto. Vocalists include Alex Covington, Bill Coyne, Douglas Lyons, Lauren Meltsner and Merrill Peiffer. Fujimoto will also be on hand to relate stories associated with each of the presented songs. Music director Paul Staroba will accompany the singers on piano.

The New Voices series was founded by composer Scott Alan to "showcase some of today's brightest new talent in New York." Alan's debut recording, "Dreaming Wide Awake" — which features performances by Liz Callaway, Stephanie J. Block, Eden Espinosa, Cheyenne Jackson and Jonathan Groff, among others — is available by visiting www.scottalan.net. His new CD, "Keys: The Music of Scott Alan," is also now available.

Paul Fujimoto is a composer/lyricist from Seattle, WA. He is currently working on two shows: Not Exactly Romeo (with playwright Eric Holmes) and No Holds Bard, a song cycle featuring Shakespearean characters in contemporary contexts. His concert, Not Jewish Or Gay: The Songs of Paul Fujimoto, recently played the Laurie Beechman Theater.

Carly Jibson has been seen on Broadway in Cry-Baby and Hairspray and on ABC's "All My Children" as Carly.

The Duplex Cabaret Theatre is located in Manhattan at 61 Christopher Street. There is a $12 music charge and a two-drink minimum; for reservations call (212) 255-5438 or visit theduplex.com.
