Stanek, a member of the original Broadway company of the musical, will play Alvin Kelby with 4th Wall favorite Matt Burns as Thomas Weaver.
Performances are scheduled for Feb. 9-11 at the Westminster Center for the Arts on the campus of Bloomfield College.
Gwen Ricks-Spencer will direct with musical direction by Markus Hauck. Kate Swan is the production manager, and Martha Thalheimer is the stage manager.
The Story of My Life features music and lyrics by Neil Bartram and a book by Brian Hill. The show received four Drama Desk Award nominations in 2009, including one for Outstanding Musical.
The Story of My Life, according to production notes, tells the story of "two childhood friends and how their friendship profoundly defined their lives. Thomas Weaver is a best-selling, award-winning author, and Alvin Kelby was his best friend for thirty years. Time tests the bonds of their friendship, and when it does, Thomas calls on the only resource he has - his stories of Alvin - to learn where things went wrong. The show is a rich and melodic musical and provides a soaring tribute to the power of friendship and the people who change our lives forever." Tickets are $24 with discount tickets available for students and seniors. Tickets may be purchased by calling (973) 748-9008, ext. 279 or by visiting www.4thwalltheatre.org.
