News Joe Iconis & Family Is First Act in Barrington's Mr. Finn's Cabaret, May 25-26, in MA Mr. Finn's Cabaret, an intimate nightspot in the Berkshires of Massachusetts, is inaugurated May 25-26 with the songs of Joe Iconis. The new venue operated by Barrington Stage Company is at the Sydelle and Lee Blatt Performing Arts Center in Pittsfield, MA.

The 49-seat space is named for Tony Award-winning composer-lyricist William Finn, who is artistic producer of BSC's Musical Theatre Lab.

The Blatt Performing Arts Center at 36 Linden Street was formerly called Stage 2; it also houses the St. Germain Stage, a larger theatre where Mark St. Germain's Freud's Last Session was popular.

Joe Iconis & Family, with the songwriter performing with a handful of friends and colleagues, plays 9:30 PM May 25-26.

According to BSC, "Iconis and his merry band return to Barrington this summer for an intimate evening of Iconis tunes, both classic and brand-spankin' new. Featuring sing-a-longs, three-hanky ballads, persnickety character pieces, exhilarating stompers and more. Fire up your washboard and polish your whiskey glass — this is new musical theater at its best!"

Joe Iconis & Family features Iconis, Molly Hager, Eric William Morris, Jeremy Morse and Jason "Sweet Tooth" Williams. Iconis is the writer for the upcoming Musical Theatre Lab workshop production of The Black Suits and was last at Barrington Stage in 2011 with Hell Raisers.

In the coming weeks, Mr. Finn's Cabaret will feature Nikos Tsakalakos (July 6-7) and Broadway's Quentin Earl Darrington (Aug. 10-11).

All tickets to Mr. Finn's Cabaret series are $15 and general admission. Beer, wine and soda are available.

The first season of Mr. Finn's Cabaret will also feature performances by BSC's 2012 Musical Theatre Apprentices Ben Holtzman, Daniel Kornfeld, Rebecca Kuznick and Meagan Michelson on July 27 & 28 and Aug. 17 & 18 at 9:30 PM. Tickets to the MTA Cabarets are $5 each and are available at the door (cash only, general admission).
