The annual event will be held Nov. 14 at The Plaza in Manhattan. Hosted by Living Landmark Liz Smith, the evening will feature music by Living Landmark Peter Duchin and his Orchestra. This year's honorees include Tony winner Grey and actress and author Shields as well as urban planner Ann L. Buttenwieser, Dean and CEO of NYU Langone Medical Center Robert I. Grossman, MD, advertising pioneer Mary Wells Lawrence and Ambassador William vanden Heuvel, who will receive the Lew Rudin Living Landmark Award for Public Service.
The New York Landmarks Conservancy, which "honors distinguished New Yorkers from all professions as 'Living Landmarks' for their contributions to the City," is dedicated to "celebrating, preserving and protecting the iconic buildings and diverse neighborhoods that define this vibrant and extraordinary City."
