Stage and screen star John Stamos has been talking to "Glee" executive producer Ryan Murphy about headlining a musical series after he finishes playing Will's (Matthew Morrison) rival for Emma's (Jayma Mays) affections on the show's upcoming season.

Murphy revealed his plans to E! Online on the red carpet for the Creative Arts Emmys, at which he also confirmed that he is developing another musical series to star Stamos' fellow stage, screen and "Glee" vet, Kristin Chenoweth.

Stamos, perhaps best-known for his television work on "Full House" and "ER," has appeared on Broadway in Bye Bye Birdie, Nine, Cabaret and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
