News Jonathan Harvey's Beautiful Thing To Be Revived for U.K. Tour with West End Return to Follow Nikolai Foster's 21st anniversary production of Jonathan Harvey's Beautiful Thing, seen at London's Arts Theatre in 2013, is to be re-staged for an 18-week U.K. national tour, beginning performances March 23, 2015, at Canterbury's Marlowe Theatre, then continuing to Birmingham, Manchester, Nottingham, Leicester, Cardiff and Brighton, with further dates to be announced. A West End return is also expected.

Charlie Brooks, best known for her role as Janine Butcher in TV's "EastEnders," will star as Sandra, with Thomas Law as Ste and Sam Jackson as Jamie.

In a press statement, Foster commented, "Beautiful Thing empowers everybody who sees it. I'm honoured to be revisiting Jonathan's exceptional play once again, this time bringing it to towns and cities across the UK, where I know it will make a positive difference to many lives."

Executive producer Tom O’Connell added "Having produced the original anniversary production, I am honoured to now partner with Nottingham Playhouse and Curve Theatre, Leicester, two fantastic producing theatres, to bring Jonathan's hit comedy to the stage one more time. Nikolai and I made a promise to each other that if we ever re-visited his production it would play cities and theatres that it hadn't been to before. We feel with this new cast and with some new elements added to the show, this new production will have audiences smiling all the way home."

Beautiful Thing premiered at the Bush Theatre in 1993, before transferring to the Donmar Warehouse, then the Duke of York's. A film version was released in 1996.

Lighting design is by David Plater and sound design by George Dennis. It is co-produced by the Nottingham Playhouse, Curve Theatre Leicester and Tom O’Connell for QNQ Ltd. For full tour details and to book tickets, visit www.beautthing.com.
