The celebrated singing actress will play the intimate room located within the Public Theater Mondays, Oct. 1, 8, 15 and 22. Show time each night is 7 PM. Kuhn recently debuted her Laura Nyro tribute, titled Serious Playground: The Songs of Laura Nyro, for Lincoln Center's American Songbook series, and she will reprise that concert at Joe's Pub. The former Chess star will be backed by an eight-piece band during her Joe's Pub run, which will also celebrate the release of her forthcoming CD of Nyro tunes.

A three-time Tony Award nominee for her work in She Loves Me, Les Misérables and Chess, Judy Kuhn also starred in the concert mounting of Alan Menken and Tim Rice's King David and the Los Angeles premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Sunset Boulevard. Kuhn received an Obie Award for her work in the Off-Broadway Laura Nyro tribute, Eli's Comin', and played Fosca in the Kennedy Center mounting of Stephen Sondheim's Passion.
