Julia Roberts Three Days of Rain Recoups Its Investment

News   Julia Roberts Three Days of Rain Recoups Its Investment
This just in from the But-You-Knew-That-Already Department: the recently closed Broadway revival of Three Days of Rain recouped its investment.

The staging returned its investment during the fifth week of its 12-week run, a show spokesman confirmed. The news comes as no surprise, since the production sold phenomenally well from the day its box office opened, owing to presence of film star Roberts.

Three Days of Rain ended its 12 weeks at the Jacobs Theatre on June 18. The much-in-the-news Richard Greenberg revival also starred Paul Rudd and Bradley Cooper.

Marc Platt and David Stone and the Shubert Organization produced. Platt and Stone were also producers on the commercially successful Wicked, and Stone was a producer of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, which also recouped.
