The singing actor will star in The Muny's production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, which runs July 23-29. The production will mark Guarini's Muny debut.

"I'm thrilled to be playing the role of Joseph," Guarini said in a statement. "Being able to do it in front of 11,000 people every night, outside and under the stars, is truly magical. I'm honored to be part of the history and tradition of The Muny."

Muny executive producer Mike Isaacson added, "When I saw Justin in Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown on Broadway, I knew I wanted to bring him to the Muny stage. I'm so excited to bring his talent, energy and magnetism to Joseph. People may know Justin only as a recording artist, but after seeing him on the Muny stage, they will see why he is an up-and-coming Broadway star."

Justin Guarini, a contestant on the first season of the reality show "American Idol," has been seen on Broadway in American Idiot and Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. Last year, he starred as Roger in Surflight's production of Rent.

Guarini will also offer a solo concert, From American Idol to Broadway, March 2 at 8 PM at the Landmark on Main Street in Port Washington, NY. The Landmark on Main Street is located at 232 Main Street. For more information and tickets, visit www.landmarkonmainstreet.org.
