Directed by Brian Kulick, performances will begin Jan. 10, 2014, at the Off-Broadway venue.
Bond will play canteen proprietress Leokadia Begbick (a role originated by Brecht's wife Helene Weigel).
"In this early knock-about, anti-just-about-everything farce by Brecht, an innocent dockworker Galy Gay in British Colonial India is rather unorthodoxly enlisted into Her Majesty's Armed Forces, where he is 'dismantled like a car' and then reassembled into the ultimate fighting machine," press notes state.
A Man's A Man will feature a new score and songs by Tony Award-winning composer Duncan Sheik (Spring Awakening, The Caucasian Chalk Circle). Bond is a writer, singer, painter and performance artist, whose stage credits include Kiki and Herb Alive On Broadway, Jukebox Jackie: Snatches of Jackie Curtis and Hidden: A Gender. Bond's film work includes "Shortbus," "Sunset Stories," "Imaginary Heroes" and "Fanci's Persuasion."
Tickets will go on sale Dec. 12.
