Though actors and playwrights have long helped supplement their incomes by doing soap operas, June 12 brought a rare opportunity for dancers to do the same. On that date, CBS TV's "The Guiding Light," which airs weekdays at 10 AM (EST, check local listings for schedule), taped an episode that features a gala royal wedding between Prince Richard and his fiancee, Cassie. The episode is scheduled to air July 18. As such, there's a big dance number -- albeit probably not a hora -- choreographed by James Horvath and featuring a number of Broadway dancers, four from Fosse and two from Kiss Me, Kate. According to "Guiding Light" spokesperson Alan Locher, the Fosse four are Jenni-Lynn Suckling, Josh Rhodes, Susan LaMontagne and Chris LaMontagne. Mark Oka and and JoAnn M. Hunter are the Kate dancers.
Choreographer Horvath was a member of the dance company of Ain't Broadway Grand.
