News Kristin Chenoweth and Trace Adkins Host American Country Awards Dec. 5 Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth joins country music star Trace Adkins to co-host the second annual American Country Awards, held Dec. 5 in Las Vegas and broadcast live at 8 PM ET on Fox.

Adkins hosted the inaugural awards show, which gives country fans the opportunity to vote for their favorite artists. Award winners receive custom-made Fender guitars instead of trophies.

Co-hosts Adkins and Chenoweth also perform at the awards show, as well as Blake Shelton, Pistol Annies, Thompson Square, Eli Young Band and The Band Perry. The two-hour event also feature appearances by Lauren Alaina, Rachel Bilson, Miranda Lambert, Scotty McCreery and the men of “Pawn Stars” (Richard Harrison, Rick Harrison, Corey Harrison and Austin Russell).

Chenoweth’s new country-pop album, “Some Lessons Learned,” was released Sept. 13 on the Sony Masterworks label. With the exception of one cover, all of the country songs are originals including her recently released single, "I Want Somebody!"

Chenoweth won the Tony Award in 1999 for her performance in You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown. She was nominated in 2004 for her performance in Wicked and has also been seen on Broadway in Steel Pier, Epic Proportions, The Apple Tree and Promises, Promises. The Emmy-winning actress is also known for her film and television work and will soon be appearing in the new ABC series "GCB."
