News Kritzerland to Release Soundtrack of Sondheim's "Evening Primrose" Kritzerland will release a CD of the soundtrack of the 1966 television special, "Evening Primrose," which featured a score by Tony Award-winning composer Stephen Sondheim.

Pre-orders are currently being accepted by visiting the Kritzerland website, www.kritzerland.com. Shipping is expected during the first week of May.

"Evening Primrose" originally aired as part of the ABC Stage 67 television series. The production featured a score by Sondheim and a book by James Goldman based on a short story by John Collier.

Anthony Perkins, according to press notes, starred as a "poet who has renounced the world and who has decided to live in a department store and write poetry - he soon discovers he is not alone, that there is a secret society that has lived in the department store for years." Charmian Carr co-starred.

The soundtrack features conductor Norman Paris and musical associate David Shire.
