The NYPD and the Times Square Business Improvement District have announced that a large labor rally is planned by museum workers for Thursday, May 25, from 4-6 PM on West 53rd Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenue. City officials predict that the rally will affect Times Square traffic patterns.

The Screen Actors Guild (SAG), which is involved in its own three-week old strike with commercial producers, says representatives of its membership will be on hand to support the rally by MOMA employees.

Also, a May 25 vigil is planned for the late Randolph Walker, a 71-year-old actor who was killed by a double-decker tour bus operated by Apple Tours. An NYPD spokesperson told Playbill On-Line that the vigil will take place from 6-8 PM at West 45th and Ninth Avenue, the place where Walker was struck down on May 22.

Theatre patrons may wish to adjust their plans accordingly.
