LAGUNA BEACH, CA -- A one-week extension of A.R. Gurney's Sylvia has been announced by the Laguna Playhouse. The final performance will now be Sunday, Dec. 6 at 2 PM.

The extra week will include 7 performances rather than the usual 8 (no evening performance on Dec. 6).

The Playhouse is also celebrating the transfer of its second consecutive production to commercial runs in Los Angeles. I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change, which played to full houses at the Playhouse this past summer, transferred last month to the Coronet Theatre. On Dec. 5 another Playhouse show, The Last Session, will reopen at the Tiffany Theatre.

"These two shows from opposite ends of the musical theatre spectrum underscore the successful eclectic artistic philosophy guiding our theatre company and our commitment to the highest quality work," said executive director Richard Stein. "We couldn't be more delighted for the talented artists involved that their work is enjoying life after Laguna. We are gratified by the extraordinary critical and popular support for these productions, and look forward to providing more excellent theatre in the future."
