NYC's Starfish Theatreworks concludes its presentation of a trio of plays at Lincoln Center's Clark Studio Theatre, June 13. Under the collective title Holding Patterns, the plays began their run May 27. The three plays are On a Plane by Shawn Hirabayashi, Up in the Air by Amatullah King and Simulating Emily by Gail Noppe-Brandon.
The production marks Starfish's fourth season at Clark Studio Theatre, where it continues its exploration of the unique theatrical form they call "Clustering," where each play is inspired by a specific photograph -- this one a photograph of a jet airliner in the sky taken by noted photographer Andrea Sperling -- and responded to by writers of different cultural backgrounds.
