News LAST CHANCE: Shrek in Seattle and Pinkalicious Off-Broadway Two colorful characters make their exits this week. A pink little girl takes her final bow Off-Broadway, while a friendly green ogre completes his West Coast debut.

  • Shrek The Musical (Pre-Broadway engagement at Seattle's 5th Avenue Theatre). The Dreamworks animated feature comes to life in the stage musical with a score by Tony nominee Jeanine Tesori and book and lyrics by Pulitzer Prize winner David Lindsay-Abaire. The tale of the loveable ogre stars Brian D'Arcy James in the title role as well as Sutton Foster, Chester Gregory II, Christopher Sieber, John Tartaglia and Kecia Lewis-Evans.   • Pinkalicious (Off-Broadway at New World Stages). The musical features book and lyrics by Elizabeth Kann and Victoria Kann and music and lyrics by John Gregor. The tale of a little girl who comes down with "Pinkititis" as a result of eating too many cupcakes is based on the popular children's book of the same title. For tickets visit VitalTheatre.
