The return engagement of Hundreds of Sisters & One BIG Brother, written and performed by Deborah Swisher, will play its last performance on Nov. 24.
Hundreds of Sisters, originally developed at Robert Redford's Sundance Institute, is based on Swisher's experiences growing up as a Black-Jewish girl in Berkeley California, when her mother decided it was time to move into a commune. The piece has been workshopped at NY's Public Theatre, New York Theatre Workshop, A.C.T. In San Francisco, and The HBO Workspace in L.A..
Swisher's numerous television appearances include guest spots on "Seinfeld," "Conan O'Brien," and "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air." Swisher has also hosted NBC's "Friday Night", "Short Attention Span Theatre" and is a correspondent on VH1's "Rock Candy."
