Fun Home (Off-Broadway at The Public Theater). The Jeanine Tesori-Lisa Kron musical Fun Home, based on the graphic memoir by Alison Bechdel, features Beth Malone (Alison), Sydney Lucas (Small Alison) and Emily Skeggs (Medium Alison) as author-narrator Bechdel at various stages of her life. It also stars Tony Award winner Michael Cerveris as her father, Bruce Bechdel, and Tony nominee Judy Kuhn as her mother, Helen Bechdel. Fun Home is described as "a fresh, daring new musical based on the acclaimed graphic novel by Alison Bechdel. When her father dies unexpectedly, graphic novelist Alison dives deep into her past to tell the story of the volatile, brilliant, one-of-a-kind man whose temperament and secrets defined her family and her life. Peter and the Starcatcher (Off-Broadway at New World Stages). The Tony Award-winning play with music Peter and the Starcatcher is written by Tony Award nominee Rick Elice and directed by Tony Award winner Roger Rees and Tony Award nominee Alex Timbers. The Off-Broadway cast at New World Stages currently includes Rick Holmes (Black Stache), Nicole Lowrance (Molly) and Jordan Geiger (Boy). This imaginative prequel to the story of Peter Pan, based on The New York Times best selling Disney-Hyperion novel by Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson, "tells the tale of an orphan who heads to a faraway land, where he finds love, friendship, and, ultimately, himself," according to press notes.
